A regular meeting of the Kinross Charter Township Board will be held on by remote access.
The public may participate by calling: (978) 990-5468 and entering the access code 705124# when prompted.
Comments must be limited to three minutes during the comment portion of the meeting, following a request for recognition. Prior to the meeting, questions and input may be given by emailing kclerk@kinross.net.

Due to increasing concern about the dangers of COVID-19, we are closing our office except when it is vital for staff to be on location. This is for the safety of the public as much as it is for the safety of those who work in the office. While we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, we consider it worth it if it helps to keep Kinross safe.
Because of this change in circumstances, we will not be taking cash payments for utilities.
If you need to make a utilities payment, we recommend writing a check or obtaining a money order. If you don't have checks, you can purchase a money order at the post office, or at any bank. Checks and money orders can be left safely in an envelope in the dropbox at the Township Hall.
If you would like to pay over the phone using your card, you will have to wait until someone is in the office. We cannot say for sure when anyone will be available to take your payment, and so we recommend purchasing a money order if at all possible.

leaving a check or money order in the office dropbox
calling ahead to ensure someone will be available to take your cash payment

At the former Kincheloe Air Force Base, the underground fuel storage tanks remain. Previous investigations have reported that contamination levels from these tanks are below screening levels, and as such, intervention is unecessary. The proposed plan is to take no further action on this matter.
The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers is holding a public meeting about the proposed no-action plan on March 23rd. The public comment period lasts until April 10th.
The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has returned their results on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in the water supply. Concentrations are above non-detectable, but lower than the United States Environmental Protection Agency's recommended lifetime health advisory limit of 70 parts per trillion.
