Freeze Warning

21 December 2022

Currently Kincheloe is experiencing extreme cold temperatures with very little insulating snow blanket, increasing the likelihood of a freeze in the water and sewage systems. As such, the Kinross Township Water and Sewer Department strongly recommends that all residents run a single pencil-width stream of cold water in their home or business until further notice. Water bills will be estimated based on the prior month's usage while the "let run" order is in effect, and will not be charged extra for allowing their water to run. Failure to run your water as recommended could result in your being responsible for any lines damaged as a consequence of your inaction.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Water and Sewer Department at (906) 495-5134 or (906) 495-5738.
