Public Assessment Hearing

02 September 2020

A public hearing will be held in the Kinross Township Hall on to review and hear any objections to the estimated cost and expenses of police protection and the spread of the special assessment levy. The proposed special assessment roll will be taxed at 10.00 applied to the taxable valuation, applied to the December 1st tax bills.

Members of the public who wish to attend or speak at the public hearing are asked to please wear masks as a courtesy to others attending.

An Update to the Farmers to Families Dairy Box Program

19 August 2020

From today forward, free dairy boxes from Prairie Farms will be available at the Township Hall on Thursdays from 10-11am. They will no longer be available on Mondays, or at the Rec Center. Please update your plans accordingly if you would like to take advantage of this program.

If you are unfamiliar with the dairy boxes, they usually include two gallons 2% milk, 2 single serving bottles of chocolate milk, 2 single serving bottles of strawberry milk, a tub of french onion dip, and a tub of cottage cheese.

These boxes are absolutely free from Prairie Farms and available to anyone who wants one. They'll be handed out around the back of the Township Hall. Just circle around the building, and someone will be happy to help you get your box.

Free Fruits, Veggies, and Cheese!

UP-211, a service of UPCAP, is offering a great new program! They will provide fruits, veggies and cheese to anyone over the age of 60. Deliveries will occur once monthly at no charge. In order to do a delivery, they need 300 sign-ups. As of this posting, Chippewa County does not have that many.

If you want to take advantage of this wonderful program, please call 211 and follow the prompts. You will be asked for your age, name, and address. It's as simple as that! Please share this information with anyone you know who is 60 years of age or older.
