Kinross R.V. Park East

Jeanine LaCrosse is our 2016 RV East Campground Host

R. V. Park East is just 2.5 miles east of I-75 on M-80 (a.k.a. Tone Road).

This modern campground offers 64 back-in sites with 20/30 amp service; some with shade, on good paved interior roads. Tent sites are also available. The large bathhouse has flush toilets and shower facilities and there is a Clubhouse for get-togethers for card and board games or the occasional Pot Luck dinner. Public telephone, horseshoes, picnic tables and firepits are also available. A Camp-ground Host is available mid-May to mid-September to answer questions or assist campers as needed.

Kinross R.V. Park West

2016 Season Campground Host is Rick Armentrout

R. V. Park West is located in a bit more rural setting than it’s sister park. Less than a mile from I-75 at exit 378, this park is located at the rear of the Kinross Community Park; the site of the annual Chippewa County Fair. R. V. West has dirt roads and grass campsites as well as a modern bathhouse. There are 52 sites with water and electric and many more rustic tent sites.

At either campground, you will be just minutes away from “The Oaks at Kincheloe”; an 18 hole championship style public golf course, 2 swimming and fishing lakes (Duke's Lake and Kinross Lake), ORV and equestrian trails, several churches, a laundromat, restaurants, gas stations, grocery and hardware store, R.V. Repair dealer and other retail stores. The Kinross Rec Center also has many events as well as ball diamonds, a computer lab and an exercise room to offer visitors to the area. Both of these campgrounds are also centrally located for day trips to areas such as Tahquamenon Falls, Sault Ste. Marie, St. Ignace, Mackinac Island and numerous other destinations.

The Kinross Recreation Center is located at 43 Wood Lake Road in Kincheloe and staff can be reached at 906-495-5350.

Just a few Rules:
  • Published rates are for 2 people, $2.00 extra per person, per night
  • Fees are payable at check-in
  • No Cash refunds
  • No discounts for early departure
  • While dogs are allowed on a leash no more than six feet long; they must be attended at all times, and are not permitted on swimming beaches

Other Places of Interest

Kinross Township is proud to have a Heritage Park and Military Museum in our community. This park is located across from Kinross Community Park and boasts two museums, one historical and the other military. There is a 1902 one-room schoolhouse, a furnished log cabin built in 1882 and a half-mile nature trail to entice the naturalist in you. There is also a gift shop and used book store in the Heritage Museum. The Military Museum shares the site and is a superb testament to numerous military personnel; both past and present, from the local area. Admission is Free at both museums.
